$2,000 grant will support flag football to inspire healthy, active lifestyles
The Boys & Girls Club of Menifee Valley has received a $2,000 grant from Buffalo Wild Wings® through its Team Up for Kids® mission to run an ALL STARS Friday Night Lights flag football league for Club youth.
"We are very grateful to have the opportunity to partner with Buffalo Wild Wings,” said John Whann, Executive Director, Boys & Girls Club of Menifee Valley. “We look forward to the opportunity to expand our Flag Football Program. Great Futures Start Here.”
Created by Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) and national partner Buffalo Wild Wings, the ALL STARS program is dedicated to helping build a healthier future generation. Currently 1 in 3 youth is obese in the United States, and team sports offer a fun and rewarding way for kids and teens to develop more active lifestyles.
“Buffalo Wild Wings is honored to be able to support the Boys & Girls Club of Menifee Valley,” said Jeff Katz, General Manager, Menifee Buffalo Wild Wings. “Team sports teach valuable skills and life lessons. We believe there is a champion in every child. We have several programs throughout the year that help us give back. One of our biggest events of the year is on Wednesday, April 19th. We will donate 10% of all sales on that day to the Boys & Girls Club of Menifee Valley. We hope to see you there.”
Buffalo Wild Wings has helped tens of thousands of kids and teens play team sports at Boys & Girls Clubs around the country. Guests of Buffalo Wild Wings help support Buffalo Wild Wings’ commitment through donations from sauce and seasoning bottle purchases and in-restaurant fundraising events including a nation-wide promotion during the month of October when Guests can get a limited-edition wristband with a minimum donation of $5 or a pinup with a minimum donation of $1. All money raised during the month goes to support BGCA and the ALL STARS program at Clubs nationwide.
