MENIFEE – Menifee’s annual Independence Day celebration is scheduled for Sat., June 28 from 5 to 9 pm. The event is held at Wheatfield Park, located at Meifee and La Piedra roads. Parking is available along Menifee Road, with limited parking across from the park in the dirt lot along La Piedra Road. A parade down La Piedra Road kicks off the event at 5 pm, and the celebration ends with the fireworks display starting at 9 pm.
To participate in the parade, call (951) 377-6089.Live music featuring the Hyjinx Band and Cloud is scheduled throughout the evening, and the popular Gale Webb’s Extreme Sports and Air show rounds out the family-friendly entertainment. A free kids’ zone includes a jumper area and there’s a variety of food and crafts for sale.
